Matthew Ryle is a devoted chef with over fifteen years of experience in renowned global kitchens, having begun his training at just fifteen years old in a Michelin-starred restaurant. He went on to launch the French all-day brasseries Maison François and Café François, and publish the instant Sunday Times bestseller French Classics.
Matthew is also a recognised television personality, with appearances on Sunday Brunch and serving as a judge on MasterChef: The Professionals (2026), alongside a guest judging role on MasterChef. He has featured in campaigns with The Telegraph (2024) and Waitrose (2025).
Across social media, Matthew has grown a following of over three million. In 2026, he launched his YouTube channel, which has already attracted 60,000 subscribers, with long-form storytelling and culinary education series set to launch in Spring 2026.
He has collaborated with leading brands including Bentley Motors, Renault, Le Creuset and Cartier, for whom he created the Goodwood Festival of Speed lunch menu, alongside further partnerships with Waitrose and Clarence Court Eggs.
In 2026, Matthew will release his second book: a journey through the landscapes, ingredients and traditions of France, alongside new long-form content series, the opening of his third restaurant, and further television appearances.
